  5. Biggest congrats and best wishes for you! 40 years is quite an accomplishment. WOW. My hubby and I have been together for 16 years and couldn't be happier. In fact, after the brain surgeries and all the crazy medical stuff, we are WAY happier now than ever before. As such a situation would do, it will either bring you closer or tear you apart. For us, it was that moment that really showed us how incredibly important we are to each other and what was so really special and meant the world to each other over the little things that many people seem to argue and fight about. I never thought I would live past 40 so every year that I do is special indeed and if my hubby live long enough to be married 40 years, that will be a wonderful gift. Wishing you the very best. Thanks for the adorable bunny. I do so love your art work! Cheers, Holley

  6. Great giveaway. Congratulations - you have been married so long. This is our 15 year together. The best thing about it id that it still only seems like yesterday was the day we met.

  7. Hi, Sandra. I found your blog through Debbie's blog. Congratulations on 40 years! In February, my husband and I celebrated 36 years married. The best thing about it? Hmmmm, too many to name. But here's a unique answer: I've never filled my gas tank since we got together. This is an example of how he makes me feel like a Queen every day. Hugs. Have a wonderful, magical weekend!

  8. Last October my hubby and I celebrated our 44th anniversary! The joy of being together through "thick and thin" times is the "best thing." Knowing we will continue to love each other as we still do makes our marriage work. Have there been some trials and difficult times in our marriage? Yes, but we committed our lives together and we have worked through each one and our marriage is stronger for it. Now we are enjoying our retirement years and our grandchildren!

  9. In Dec. this year my best friend forever and I have been married 23 years. We got a late start! But luckily we both found each other and totally complement each other in this wonderful life the Saviour has granted us. Between us, we have 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Each day our love grows deeper and every so often he brings me flowers or surprises me with a card to "HIS BEST FRIEND"......it doesn't get any better - and we will make it to 40 years I know! Thank you so much for the lovely bunny - it will be awesome to make some Easter cards with and give my bff one!

  10. What a blessing to celebrate 40 years. My husband and I will be celebrating 20 years in 10 days! He had to go out of state for work, so we will have to drink a toast long distance. I know I'm a lucky woman. He is my rock and my soft place to land. He is my biggest challenge and my greatest cheerleader. He is the one to push me to reach higher and reign me in when I'm going too far too fast. We can talk for hours or sit in quiet. He is a great provider, a champion of our family, and still finds me sexy, lol. He's awesome at Scrabble. He taught me how to play poker. He's the only man for me, and I'm blessed to have found him.

  11. Thank you for the super cute easter digi!
Forty years with the same man!! Did you ever imagine on your wedding day this moment, sharing all the wonderful memories and loving moments??
This year hubby and I will celebrate 37 years of marriage. I can tell you right now that when I first met him, I felt that ZING. I could picture the two of us, older and slower, far into the future, still together and in love.
He is a man of few words, and I hear "I love you" very rarely; when I feel the need to hear those words, I list all the ways he shows me he loves me, and the list fills the page, and I am content.
Happy anniversary, dear! May you have many more, and may you wake up each morning with love in your heart and him by your side.

  13. Wow 40 years is wonderful not many make it that far these days. a few years and they are ready to call it quits. I have been married to the most wonderful man for 38 yrs now an love him more everyday. He is constantly telling me he loves me and that I am beautiful an I love hearing it. I couldn't ask for a better man. He has been so generous over the years. We were both married before and both lost our spouse and we have one son together but 4 children all together. I love him desperately and wouldn't change a thing in our lives except to have more money so he could retire and not have to work so hard. but other then that he is perfect in every way.

  14. Congratulations on 40 years of marriage. I wish you many more. So much goes into making a marriage work. My DH and I will celebrate 52 years in May. While he doesn't tell me he loves me, he shows me in so many ways by the little things he does. About five years ago, I told him I wasn't going camping Thanksgiving weekend. That I was tired of freezing my buns every Thanksgiving. The Saturday before Thanksgiving he bought a little camp trailer. We camped that weekend and haven't missed a Thanksgiving out since. I love my man... my companion.

  15. Congratulations on 40 years together and I pray you will have many more. I am re-married now 5 years. I know it isn't long but it took me over 40 years to find someone as wonderful as my husband. Someone who excepts me for who I am and loves me the way he does. Someone who is supportive no matter what I try and do. He doesn't want a trophy wife, he loves me and thinks I am beautiful inside and out without make-up, fancy clothes, or anything like that. He values my thoughts on a subject, listens when I talk, and takes what I say in consideration. He is wonderful! I can go on and on and tell you about it but you asked for the best thing. I would have to say all these plus our 5 kids (from previous marriages, 2 his, 3 mine) and our 12 grandchildren.
